Our cabins will range from one bedroom to five bedrooms, making it perfect for a honeymoon or a family reunion. The cabins have all the comforts of home, a quiet seclusion and a unique decor with rock fireplaces, spacious cathedral ceilings and open loft bedrooms. A vacation in Nantahala features the peaceful mountain atmosphere and the adventure of outdoor sports. We have a world-class whitewater river, the best trout fishing rivers on the eastern seaboard, breath-taking horseback riding trails on thousands of miles of National Forestry, and world famous mountain biking trails along the ridges of Great Smoky Mountains. | |

| Our cabins are
perfect for a romantic weekend for two or a week for all of the family. Nantahala has
other attractions for the young and young at heart. The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad
borders the Nantahala Mountain Retreat and we sit in the middle of its excursions depots.
Pick one of its four departure points for a ride through the scenic foothills of the Smoky
Mountains of Western North Carolina with a view of forests, countrysides and rivers. Take
a day's excursion to Fontana Lake to see the highest Dam in eastern America - an
engineering masterpiece or spend the day in Cherokee, NC at the Oconaluftee Indian Village
where the past comes alive at this authentic recreation of an 18th century Cherokee Indian
community. Maybe your idea of fun is the newly built Harrah's Casino in Cherokee or Ghost
Town In the Sky for the atmosphere of the Old West and the thrill of the world's most
unusual roller coaster. Picture is conpliments of Bill Lea - President of the American Bear Assocation |
